Now that the holiday season is finally in the rear view mirror, we can move on to the most wonderful time of the year - winter in The Peg.
Over the coming weeks, it’s going to get hot in this cold-weather city.
The Red River Mutual Trail is iced up and ready to go, along with this year’s incredible crop of warming huts. RAW: Almond, the internationally celebrated restaurant on the frozen river is popping up again starting January 21. And Festival du Voyageur, the two week long Franco-Manitoban cultural celebration runs from February 17 to 26.
There’s a lot more to see and do any day of the week like Fort Whyte Alive, Assiniboine Park Zoo and Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
This year, why not make your way to Winnipeg and tell your winter story.
