Nicholas Warsza goes the extra mile for guests at the ALT Hotel Winnipeg. An example is when he bought almond milk during his time off for a guest who was dairy intolerant. Always eager to find new ways to support the hotel, he participates in many work-sponsored events on personal time, including the Refuge Bike Ride, the Pride Winnipeg parade and various golf tournaments.  Nicholas assists in managing the hotel’s social media accounts and is known for remembering guests’ favourite cocktails.


Colin Mackie’s infectious laugh and powerful charisma make him a visitor favourite at Fort Gibraltar. Colin is so passionate about the region’s history that he routinely follows up with visitors after their experience to provide them with extra information. As the manager of heritage and education programs, Colin never stops creating new programming to enhance the visitor experience. As well, he often ensures he is onsite for special events or programming to guarantee the highest-quality interpretation possible for the fort’s guests.

Megan Komarnicki - FAIRMONT WINNIPEG

Megan Komarnicki is eager to amaze guests of Fairmont Winnipeg and is always looking for ways to make guests’ stays memorable. She often decorates guest rooms for birthdays and anniversaries, and she produces creative banners and customizes amenities. She also trains new communications agents and organizes things behind the scenes. Megan is a wonderful ambassador for the Fairmont brand.
