What to do
☑️Assiniboine Park Zoo - 2595 Roblin Blvd
Winter is a wonderful time to experience the Zoo! Start your adventure off at Journey to Churchill to see the polar bears playing in the snow or swimming overhead in the Sea Ice Passage. Take a park trail wagon ride at McFeetors Heavy Horse Centre, warm up inside the tropical oasis Toucan Ridge and end your visit with lunch at the Tundra Grill and playtime at the Polar Playground.
☑️Hide N Seek - 100-305 Fort Whyte Way
What kid doesn't love an epic indoor playground? The facility features a massive kids play structure as well as a toddler zone and arcade. Parents can relax with a coffee in the Orange Tree Cafe.
☑️Manitoba Children's Museum - 45 Forks Market Road
Hop aboard an authentic 1952 diesel locomotive and 1910 Pullman passenger coach, explore the five-storey tall Lasagna Lookout, go inside the giant Illusion Tunnel, perform water experiments in the Splash Lab, and so much more. Also on display until January 6 is the historic Eaton’s Fairytale Vignettes - fifteen fun displays including Cinderella, Humpty Dumpty, Three Blind Mice, and more.
☑️Arctic Glacier Winter Park - The Forks
Arctic Glacier Winter Park offers outdoor adventures for every age. Located at The Forks, it features 1.2 kilometres of skating trails, a toboggan run, Crokicurl rink and beautifully lit archways and trees if you check it out at night. Weekends also feature horse-drawn wagon rides, Indigenous storytelling and bannock making, snow-sculpting sessions and a dance floor on ice at the Canopy Skating Rink with a live DJ! Warm up with some hot chocolate (and do some shopping!) inside The Forks Market and Johnston Terminal. Be sure to check out our favourite kids store - Kite and Kaboodle!
