Newly renovated Holiday Inn Winnipeg South is ready to wow -

Newly renovated Holiday Inn Winnipeg South is ready to wow

Newly renovated Holiday Inn Winnipeg South is ready to wow

By: Only in the Peg // June 9, 2016 // Accommodations

The Holiday Inn Winnipeg South is looking a whole lot sleeker these days with a chic new design that's a fitting compliment to their always personable service.

All the hotel's 170 guestrooms and suites, along with the lobby, restaurant and lounge, now boast a polished modern design that is going to really impress guests (check it all out on their brand new Instagram account!).

The Holiday Inn Winnipeg South already sits in a great location when it comes to seeing Winnipeg's biggest and best attractions.

For starters, Investors Group Field, home to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and numerous massive events (it has hosted concerts by the likes of Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, Jay-Z and Beyonce, along with last summers' FIFA Women's World Cup), is just a five minute drive down Pembina. Assiniboine Park and Zoo is just a 15 min drive west, while the heart of downtown is an equal distance north.

Plus, for you shoppers out there, Grant Park Mall Shopping Centre and St Vital Centre are less than ten minutes away, while IKEA is just a short jaunt across Bishop Grandin Boulevard.

It all makes for an ideal setting for your family to see the most of Winnipeg. And hey golfers, there are also 5 courses in the immediate vicinity, should you have your clubs with you this summer.

Of course, all of this would involve leaving the hotel, which you may not do once you've discovered all the excellent amenities.

I'll wager you'll have a tough time getting the kids out of the pool, while the waters of the whirlpool will be calling your name.

The new restaurant, EnoBAR & Kitchen, has a warm retro-meets-modernist look and feel along with an innovative menu. It also does a daily hot breakfast buffet for when you need to get in and fed in a hurry -- which you can get for only $2 more for the cost of your room when you book the "Best for Breakfast Package."

In fact, they have an impressive array of packages and deals that you can book online that can get you up to 20% off, while children under 12 eat free and kids under 19 stay FREE (yes, you read that right!).

If you are using the Holiday Inn Winnipeg South as a destination jump-off point you get free airport shuttle, while covered parking is also free for all hotel guests. It's also a pet friendly hotel, should you want to bring your furry family member.

They've really thought of it all in this newly renovated property, so book now for your next stay in The Peg.
