Russian concert pianist Alexei Volodin wowed audiences with his jaw-dropping Back-to-Back Beethoven performances in the 2019/20 season. He returns to summit what some consider the Mount Everest of piano concertos, Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3. Maestro Raiskin and the WSO set the mood with a work that would feel at home on Everest’s peak, Tchaikovsky’s wild and powerful take on Shakespeare’s The Tempest.
