Danny's All Day Breakfast & Brunch: No flash, No frills Food

There are some times when being a little bad feels pretty good.

Sure you could order the mixed greens with julienne carrots, cucumber slices and tangy balsamic vinaigrette, but where's the fun in that?

Enter the hot turkey sandwich from Danny's All-Day Breakfast & Brunch at The Forks Market. With loads of dense, brawny gravy, heaps of pan-fried, buttery hashbrowns and two slices of white bread surrounding freshly roasted turkey, this monster meal will keep you full for hours. In a world where preservative-ridden and salt-laden luncheon meat is the rule not the exception, Danny's real roasted turkey is a treat. The sandwich is generously stacked with tender and moist slices of white and dark meat with no bits of dry, overcooked turkey to be found.

This hefty meal is comfort food and then some.

That's the mantra at Danny's, one of a handful of kiosks serving continental eats. It’s located on the south end of The Forks Market across from The Beachcomber. Danny's has been in business since 1989, serving meals that don't reinvent the wheel. Yet, at Danny's food tastes home-cooked from scratch. Along with breakfast and brunch staples, soups, sandwiches, salads and wraps get their due. Staff are super friendly, competent and frankly, a little playful.

Customers grab their food at the counter and can pull up a chair at one of the many nearby tables in the bustling market.

The hot turkey sandwich is a no-frills feast that should be reserved for days when you can combine two meals.

And if you're feeling a little guilty for the indulgence, perhaps the little bit of green (aka the healthy stuff) on the plate will silence the guilt. A mini-cup filled with tangy, vinaigrette-dressed coleslaw, a handful of green onions as garnish and a tart dill pickle complete the picture.
