Informed by their attention to detail, Fillion and Schlademan engage in a subjective dialogue between their experiences and their deliberate poetic uses of paint. Fillion's intentional layering of paint uncovers emerging shapes that result in intuitive abstractions. Schlademan's refined language of landscape and still-life produce a physical recognition that reveals light, romance, and drama. Their distilled observations share a vigilant attendance to painting technique. Two artists different in their executions but accomplished in their dramatic intentions.
