Finding adventure in the city is as simple as discovering FortWhyte Alive! Watch as the city transforms into a natural playground just minutes from Downtown Winnipeg. 660 acres of forests, lakes and trails are home to bison, whitetail deer, waterfowl, and countless other wildlife. Explore the land by bike or snowshoe, or opt for the open water in a canoe or rowboat. Each season offers a new experience, with winter's ice fishing and tobogganing, summer's hiking and bird watching, and fall's spectacular sunset waterfowl migration. After exploring outdoors, cap off your experience by browsing the Nature Shop, visiting the touch museum or aquarium, or checking out the displays in Manitoba's most sustainable building, the Paul Albrechtsen Visitor Centre.
There are plenty of guided and self-guided tours available year round to take in these experiences — check out their Calendar of Activities to see what’s coming up next!
