The newest instalment of our Winnipeg Maker Showcase series features local hand-poured candles to enhance your space as you spend more time at home this spring.
Our Tourism Winnipeg hosts Cody Chomiak and Sarah Robinson chatted with Amanda Buhse, Owner and Chief Creative Officer for Coal and Canary about limited edition lines, online ordering and a behind-the-scenes tour of their Winnipeg headquarters.
Buhse is in the business of scents, and with smells like syrup-y pancakes, champagne mimosas and even fresh cut lawns, she says it’s been a challenge transitioning to online sales only.
“We started doing a VIP weekly pour,” says Amanda. “Every Thursday at 11 a.m. we’re releasing a limited edition scent.”
You can learn more about their VIP program and sign up on their website.
International travel might be out of the question at the moment, but you can still smell summer scents from around the world with the “Vacay All Day” box set.
If you haven’t added a Coal and Canary candle to every room in your house yet, now is the perfect time to stock up and support local while it offers free shipping across Canada and free contact-less delivery within Winnipeg.
Join us next week for another installment of our Winnipeg Maker Showcase series.
