Birds, bees and local makers.
We’re continuing to show love for local businesses and makers that are feeling the impacts of COVID-19. Last week we introduced our Winnipeg Maker Showcase series and featured Lennard Taylor, the Exchange District’s fashion designer, artist and shop owner. Watch it here.
This week we hosted Chandra Kremski and Charla Smeall, co-founders of Third + Bird, Winnipeg’s largest urban market.
They’ve made it their goal to continue to be a voice for the maker community, and to be a spotlight for local businesses that are pivoting during this difficult time.
Along with them is Chris Kirouac, co-founder of Beeproject Apiaries and a long-time vendor at Third + Bird. Beeproject Apiaries is bringing a taste of Winnipeg into your home with Neighbourhood Honey flights, showing just how different areas of the city can create unique colour and flavour based on what flowers are blooming.
For a full list on Third + Bird’s vendors, see their website.
Join us next week for another instalment of our Winnipeg Maker Showcase series.
