SEVEN OAKS HOUSE MUSEUM

Visit the oldest home in Winnipeg, and see how a wealthy family of Métis traders and politicians lived throughout the 19th century. The remarkably preserved Inkster homestead offers an immersive look at Manitoba's early history, where visitors can witness the social and lifestyle changes from the 1830s until 1912.

The museum is currently open, but interpreters will be conducting tours OUTSIDE due to COVID restrictions. While we understand that half the fun of visiting Ross House is looking at the museum’s collection, interpreters have done their best to bring the experience out onto the safety of the porch.
We have outdoor exhibits dedicated to members of the Ross family as well as their iconic Red River Frame House.
