Investors Group Field
Canada’s newest stadium opened in 2013 and is home to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and University of Manitoba Bisons. Located on the grounds of the University of Manitoba campus at the intersection of Chancellor Matheson Road and University Crescent, the stadium has 33,422 (partially covered) permanent seats and can be expanded to more than 40,000 seats for major events. Investors Group Field will be one of the venues for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup and will also host the Opening Ceremonies for the 2017 Canada Summer Games.
This 172,000 square foot multiplex boasts four regulation sized rinks (with ample spectator seating), 20 player dressing rooms, 4 officials’ dressing rooms, pro shop, food and beverage services, concessions, restaurant/lounge, meeting rooms and office space. It also houses the Hockey Canada Centre of Excellence.
