Your guide to Winnipeg hotels with indoor waterslides

Make a splash this spring

By: Raegan Hedley // March 4, 2024 // Accommodations, Family Fun

Nothing will level up your staycation or spring break vacation quite like staying in a hotel with a waterslide (or two).

After a long day of fun activities around Winnipeg, you don’t just have to return to your room! There’s tons of fun to be had seeing how many times your tweens or teens can do the waterslide during your stay. Plus, there’s always playing with your younger ones in the kiddie pool.

So when picking a place to stay with your family, consider one of these options with a splashy waterpark or waterslide.

All pool hours are subject to change by the hotels.

Victoria Inn | 1808 Wellington Ave

Have kiddos who love all things dinosaur? Check out Victoria Inn’s Dino Beach Pool & Waterslide, where you can swim next to two life-sized, three-dimensional dinosaurs. The pool has a beach-style entry, making it perfect for kids.

With two smaller waterslides, a waterfall, a hot tub and an epic 160-foot corkscrew waterslide, this waterpark is a destination in itself.

Pool hours:
Sunday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Friday – Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Fairfield Inn & Suites/Residence Inn by Marriott Winnipeg | 1301 Ellice Ave.

There’s something for everyone to enjoy in this pool area: an adult pool, a waterslide, a whirlpool, and a kids pool. It’s a proper waterpark complete with water umbrellas that do the opposite of keeping you dry.

Pool hours:
Monday  – Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Saturday  – Sunday: 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Canad Inns - Splasher’s Indoor Pools and Waterslides

Polo Park: 1405 St. Matthews Avenue
Transcona: 826 Regent Avenue West
Windsor Park: 1034 Elizabeth Road
Fort Garry: 1824 Pembina Highway
Garden City: 2100 McPhillips Street

Splasher’s Indoor Pools and Waterslides claim to be Manitoba’s largest indoor waterslides and aquatic facilities (and we certainly don’t disagree with this claim!). Exclusive to Canad Inns Hotels, each waterpark has a unique layout and theme, but they’re all guaranteed to be over the top and equipped with a massive water slide, creatively-shaped pool, relaxing hot tub and safe kiddie pool.

Pool hours vary—check the location for more details.

Viscount Gort | 1670 Portage Ave.

It’s not just a pool, according to the website, it’s a “pool oasis and waterslide.”  Translation: Pool, hot tub, kiddie pool and a wicked double-corkscrew water slide. You and your kids will not want to leave.

Pool hours:
Daily: 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Wyndham Garden Inn Winnipeg Airport | 460 Madison Street

This is the newest waterslide on this list as the hotel opened in 2022 on the Long Plain Madison Reserve located on Treaty 1 territory.

Slip into the heated indoor pool, sit in the snug hot tub or slide down the waterslide (this one is a little smaller than those mentioned above, so it may be better for younger kiddos).

Pool hours:
Daily: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Days Inn by Wyndham Winnipeg Airport | 695 Berry Street

This simple pool area covers all the bases with a hot tub and red single corkscrew waterslide to keep the kids occupied for an hour or two.

Pool hours:
Daily: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Best Western Premiere Winnipeg East | 900 Regent Avenue W

There’s no need to worry about capacity at this pool! There’s enough space to swim laps while the kids or tweens go down the waterslide. Too cool for the pool? Soak in the spacious hot tub instead.

Pool hours:
Daily family swim: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Daily adult swim: 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Best Western Plus Pembina Inn & Suites | 1714 Pembina Highway

When you stay at Best Western Plus (keyword: plus), you get access to extra amenities, like an indoor pool area. The Pembina Inn & Suites location has a heated saltwater pool, single-swirl waterslide, and hot tub.

Pool hours:
Daily: 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Holiday Inn Airport West | 2520 Portage Avenue

You won’t find a real frog anywhere, but this pool area is hoppin’ with kid-sized cartoon plastic frogs. Younger kids can slide straight out of a frog's mouth in the pool or simply stick to the kiddie pool, and adults can sneak off to the hot tub when the time is right.

Once you’re done in the pool area, the whole family can dry off and head to the interactive three-story Pirates Cove Playland.

Be sure to grab a wristband from the front desk before heading to the pool area.

Pool hours:
Sunday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 PM
Friday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM

You can say your selection was for the kid(s), but who says it's not for you too?

Happy swimming and sliding!
