Ho ho hot merch drop

Check out our latest collabs with Winnipeg companies

By: Only in the Peg // November 13, 2022 // Shopping

Just in time for the holidays, we have a very special present for Winnipeggers. Some more Winnipeg: Made from what’s real (MFWR) merch! New collaborators, same pride for a city we love plastered everywhere.

We Heart Winnipeg

“There are two types of Winnipeggers: those who love it, and those who love to hate it. If you belong to the first group, you're in the right place. If you're in the second group, it's our mission to convert you.”

That’s how the “Our Story” section of We heart Winnipeg’s website starts and that’s all we needed to see to know they are our kind of people and the perfect collaborators for Winnipeg: Made from what’s real.

Our new collab has something for everyone from super cozy crewnecks to incredibly soft tees in both French and English. As we roll into the holiday season, we have the perfect toque options in four complementary colours that will keep you toasty and warm.

Located at 3-660 Osborne Street. Hours: Monday to Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Friday, 10:00 a.m.to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Mondetta Performance Gear (MPG)

The name of the Winnipeg-based manufacturer, Mondetta, combines the French word ‘monde’ (world) with the Latin suffix ‘etta’ (small) and was launched in 1986. Today, the certified B Corp clothing company has lived up to its name and is a global leader in sustainable, technical, lifestyle and activewear with their Mondetta Performance Gear (MPG) line.

There are several MPG Sport pieces available in our latest collection including a women's super soft side slit pullover, a unisex moisture-wicking long sleeve crewneck, a versatile men's knit zip-up jacket and stretchy and breathable women's tank tops and t-shirts.

Hilary Druxman

Her designs are minimalist, stunning and ever-so-popular with Hollywood celebrities and Manitobans alike and she is a proud Winnipegger! Hilary Druxman is also a massive community builder and supporter. Through her Good Works program, she creates one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces where proceeds go to worthwhile causes and initiatives across our city. Druxman agreed to create a MFWR necklace with proceeds going to United Way Winnipeg. We love that every time someone looks at the place brand logo, they see something different and how it represents the city they love. Find out what it means to Hilary in this video. To get this special gift to show your love for someone close to you, this city and its people, go to Hilarydruxman.com.

Located in the Exchange at 258 McDermot Avenue. Hours: Monday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

These latest collaborations with local businesses are in addition to the previous pieces created for our place brand by Coal and Canary, Kilter Brewing Company, FFO Clothing, Fresh Emblem. For more Winnipeg: Made from what’s real merch options and to quickly check off your holiday wish list go to: winnipegshop.ca
