Luxe looks from local designers and boutiques for November

Don't wait for delivery, shop local in Winnipeg this season

By: Sarah Robinson // November 3, 2021 // Shopping

The temperatures are dropping, the leaves have fallen, and the smell of  pumpkin spice still lingers in the air.

Raise your hand if you are ready for winter! Oh wait, you may need some gloves for that. This blog will highlight our top picks for chilly weather, including cozy coatigans, stylish shackets and fuzzy fabrics.

Valencia Boutique has a large selection of beautiful shackets. Perhaps new to your vocabulary, the shacket is a combination of a jacket and shirt and it’s all the rage this season. We also love the Jac vest, which can be added to any outfit to stay warm on those fall days.

Imagine wrapping yourself in a blanket before starting the day? Local designer  Sarah Sue Design has made our dreams come true with Herringbone Blanket Vests, a cozy and stylish solution for every day.

Sly Scarves & Apparel have all your fall separates covered. From velvety scrunchies, to long-sleeve tie-dye shirts, they are perfect for adding a pop of fun and colour to a fall wardrobe.

We are very excited about the  Suncoo Hellen Boot in Camel and Pandor Sweater from October Boutique. In general, the entire collection is bursting with fashion-forward pieces that will make a statement.

Out of the Blue has geared up for winter with a gorgeous collection of scarves, mitts and hats. We want to specifically highlight the boiled wool mitts and wool berets, the latter being available in a multitude of colours including tartan green, Victoria rose, Egyptian copper and inkberry purple.

November is all about chunky knits and  Loka Boutique has you covered. We especially love the Vanilla Bean Cardigan with its fun blue and tan diamond pattern.

Hook & Barrel has us hooked with its handmade custom yarn work. The boutique's scarves are made for Manitoba winters and the scalloped cowl in mustard is our absolute fave.

In addition to the shacket, another hot item this season is the  coatigan - a combination of a coat and cardigan. Chestnut Lane Boutique is keeping on top of this trend with its Coatigan collection, which is available in various colours and patterns to fit any wardrobe.

Anne Mulaire is giving us leggings for days as part of her fall collection. Available in sizes XXS-6X, solid or with heritage prints and in various colour tones. This fall staple is always flying out of stock, so pick some up today.

Who doesn’t want a one-of-a-kind piece by  Lennard Taylor?  The wool Melva vest is made to order and available in an array of rich colours, including burnt orange and merlot. And if you really want to turn heads this fall season, the Sofia vest is a showstopper.
