Our latest video showcases the awe-inspiring spaces within Winnipeg's national museum

By: Only in the Peg // March 30, 2021 // Architecture & Design, Attractions, Family Fun

When you are out in public, space can sometimes seem hard to come by.

Thankfully, this isn’t the case at the  Canadian Museum for Human Rights where the vast, awe-inspiring architecture provides ample room for you to explore the powerful, ever-climbing galleries.

As our guide André Péloquin-Hopner pops up to show Sarah and Cody how now is a great time to visit the CMHR to experience its most popular exhibits and areas, like the interactive Lights of Inclusion on Level 2, and the Israel Asper Tower of Hope, which looks out over Winnipeg.

Throughout the Museum you’ll find stories that will stay with you, all presented in spaces where sanitization protocols are paramount. There’s also staff on every floor, to help ensure you have a safe and informative visit.

Plus, as Cody demonstrates, there’s so much beauty to be found too, making it an excellent getaway for photographers, design buffs and simply people looking for a little tranquility this spring.

The Canadian Museum for Human Rights is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its Boutique is also open during these hours  and is a must for fair-trade, eco-conscious and ethically sourced fashions, giftware, jewelry, books and so much more. You can also shop Boutique online with easy curbside pickup available on all items.
