For our final Weekly Maker Showcase series our Tourism Winnipeg hosts Cody Chomiak and Sarah Robinson are closing the show with some big announcements worth cheers-ing your craft beers over.
After checking in with Matthew Sabourin, Président/Co-Founder of Nonsuch Brewing Co. we learned about so much going on that we almost had to split this episode in two!
The biggest announcements?
• A brand-new kitchen is in the works, including a re-designed menu with chef Tyrone Welchinski
• New selections of beer including an award-winning Cranberry Witbier: a tart and pink taste of summer
• Not one, but two patios coming very soon
"We have our patio on Pacific and we'll be shuffling that around to adhere to all the guidelines. What we'll also be doing is setting up a temporary patio along Lily Street. So we'll have actually two patios. If you want a bit of shade you can sit on Pacific, if you want the full sunlight, then you can sit on Lily,” says Sabourin.
“If it really works out well, we'll probably build something quite a bit more elaborate on Pacific. So we need people to come and make it packed all the time for us to get that validation that we really should do the big investment on something on something really special."
In the mean time, you can still order home delivery or tap room pick up here.
Keep your eyes peeled to Nonsuch’s Instagram for the official patio launch, and also for another announcement coming soon involving a very unique collaboration with a local artist.
Our Winnipeg Maker Showcase may be finished, but stay tuned in the coming weeks for some exciting on-location features throughout Winnipeg.
