Locals didn't need to mourn the closing of Marion Street Eatery for too long, as the Roasted Nomad quickly took over its much-loved space featuring many of the Eateries' former employees. Roasted Nomad is by Pam Holunga, who worked at the Marion for its last three years, along with numerous Winnipeg restaurants. Having also lived in Australia, Holunga has put coffee service at the Nomad on a pedestal, while dishes like eggs Benedict (on a croissant or gluten-free toast), fluffy blueberry pancakes topped with caramel sauce and sliced bananas, and a colourful rendition of huevos rancheros will start your morning right. The home fries rule too #socrispy.
