Media Release Permission Request
They say a picture is worth a thousand words and we want to ensure you have the perfect picture or video of Winnipeg to enhance the piece you are working on.
It is our policy to restrict the use of its content (photography & b-roll video) to media, the promotion of the city for non-commercial use and to other non-profit organizations. The policy is in place for the positive promotion of Winnipeg for business development and tourism, and to protect the rights of the photographers and videographers with whom we work.
We have a number of photographs available for use in your article, meeting, convention, sports or special event brochure. Images provided may only be used for the promotion of Winnipeg and must include a photo credit. Final approval from Tourism Winnipeg must be given before any content is published publicly.
For b-roll video footage, a credit to Tourism Winnipeg must be present in the video. Tourism Winnipeg prohibits any forwarding of b-roll footage to any third parties or affiliated partners without contacting Tourism Winnipeg directly on a case-by-case basis. Final approval from Tourism Winnipeg must be given before any content is published publicly.
