Design Quarter Winnipeg
Promoting local business and design entrepreneurs, Design Quarter Winnipeg has created a collaborative marketing coalition that allows small retailers to increase their presence and visibility in the city. The member-driven organization puts a spotlight on a network of design-conscious businesses and galleries drawing attention to an authentically Winnipeg experience. The Design Quarter is contributing to Winnipeg’s reputation as a city of design for tourism attraction and innovation.
INSURGENCE/RESURGENCE – Winnipeg Art Gallery - Award Winner
INSURGENCE/RESURGENCE, an exhibit hosted at the Winnipeg Art Gallery and co-curated by Jaimie Isaac and Dr. Julie Nagam, showcases works from artists representing 15 Indigenous Nations. Through a variety of art forms, every piece is an expression of the modern Indigenous experience. The exhibition featured Indigenous curatorial practices and ideas of collaboration that rethink traditional Western art. Thematic monthly talkbacks highlighting the exhibit’s artists and curators have been impactful and the exhibition was selected as a 2017 top gallery pick by Canadian Art.

As an all-in-one brewing operation that produces, sells and distributes beer all under one roof in the Exchange District, the company has also branded itself as a community hub where locals and visitors alike can congregate and raise a glass together. Little Brown Jug partners with local businesses to host events as diverse as yoga, pop-up concerts and celebrity chef dinners.
