10:30 am
Travel behind the scenes at a Friday morning matinee with an open rehearsal and concert performance. Hear the conductor’s introduction, a performance of the work, and participate in a Q+A – All in one hour!
Jacques Hétu was one of Canada’s leading composers and his Légendes is a festive work exploring three different Quebec legends.
César Franck’s Symphony in D minor was a landmark French composition, with themes that return throughout as transforming characters in a play and a memorable English horn solo in the slow movement.
We welcome the eminent Swiss conductor Matthias Bamert.
All Matinees begin at 10:30 am on Fridays.
Pre-concert chats begin 25 minutes before each performance on the Piano Nobile.
