The artists: Laura Feeleus, Louise Lamb, Ingrid Lincoln, Lesley Turner
Four artists – two locations: the prairies and the pacific regions.
Four artists – four different media: paint, print, photography, textiles.
The resulting works explore the duality of media and place.
Laura Feeleus‘ practice centres on paint and textile. Her process is one of hiding and re-discovering, using colours, textures, composition and the right side of the brain. She lives in Victoria BC and holds a Diploma in Fine Arts from the Vancouver Island School of Arts.
Ingrid Lincoln is a textile artist who is interested in colour and texture on fabric. Her works are mainly abstract and convey a mood. As a result of two residencies at the Banff Centre; she has exhibited work relating to women who explored the Rocky Mountains at the Whyte Museum in Banff. She recently has been a mentee with the MAWA mentorship program.
Louise Anna Lamb is a Winnipeg Artist. She has exhibited in the WAG adult student show, Mennotie Heritage Gallery, and at cre8ery.
Lesley Turner is a practicing artist and art instructor. She uses familiar domestic textiles and worn clothing to express her overriding goal to deepen awareness of our intimate relationship with the natural world. Her creative practice is sustained by living in the Pacific Northwest temperate rainforest ecosystem.
