The remarkable Janina Fialkowska, called “an interpreter of sublime inspiration” and “one of the Grandes Dames of piano,” returns to perform Paderewski’s exquisite Piano Concerto. Mendelssohn’s Scottish Symphony, one of the most original pieces to follow Beethoven, is led by the dynamic New Zealander Gemma New.
