The Winnipeg Folk Festival presents Coeur De Pirate. Its been 10 years since Béatrice Martin appeared in our lives under the alias Coeur de pirate. Ten years in which she sold more than a million albums, accumulated 1.3 million subscribers on Facebook and 100,000 followers on Twitter and Instagram. On the streaming platforms, 3 million fans are repeating their albums in a loop.
His first self-titled album, launched in September 2008, has been certified platinum in Canada and diamond in France. Blonde (2011), a second most pop, has also been certified platinum in Canada and France. The album was also awarded the Félix trophy for the best pop album and Béatrice, for the female performer of the year in 2012. Roses (2015) has been certified gold in Canada and France, with more than 200,000 copies sold, and earned him the Felix Best English Album in 2016 and a nomination for Juno Awards in the category Fan choice the same year. At the end of the episode Roses, a creative urgency was felt and in just three months, his fourth album was formed.
