The Little Opera Company presents the Canadian premiere of Jake Heggie's 'Three Decembers' May 27-29 2022 at the Manitoba Theatre for Young People.
Based on American playwright Terrence McNally’s original script Some Christmas Letters this 90-minute opera tells the story of a famous stage actress and her two adult children (played by Kimberly Barber Sheldon Baxter and Lara Ciekiewicz) and their joys and trials as a family as secrets unfold over three decades (1986 1996 2006) – a time of an earlier global health crisis and of discovery.
