A performance for the dance novice and dance enthusiast alike. Fast Forward is a dynamic mixed repertoire program of all-new works that highlight the athleticism and artistry of our Company. Designed as an outlet for our artists’ creative impulses at the height of the pandemic, the current iteration of Fast Forward provides a showcase for the myriad ways dance can inspire and illuminate us all.
This year’s program will feature original choreography from RWB School graduate Cameron Fraser-Monroe and RWB Company artists Stephan Azulay, Emilie Lewis, and Zachary Rogers, who have worked with their fellow dancers to bring life to their inspirations. Fast Forward also includes the world première of a new piece created by Meredith Rainey, commissioned through Pathways to Performance, a program in partnership with Memoirs of Blacks in Ballet designed to engage Black choreographers in a meaningful way with dance companies.
