Points of View: A National Human Rights Photography Exhibition
July 1, 2017 to March 3, 2018
Using crowd-sourced images from across our nation, this vibrant exhibition reflects themes in four categories – freedom of expression; inclusion and diversity; reconciliation; and human rights and the environment. Photos for the exhibition were chosen from thousands of submissions by a multidisciplinary jury. They create a powerful visual array that showcases many diverse perspectives and experiences of Canadians for our country’s 150th anniversary.
The images are empowering and inspiring, highlight human dignity, and underscore the resilience, determination and hard work required to contribute promote human rights for all. They also reflect Canadians’ ongoing efforts towards reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
