This hilarious, touching theatrical work— with live orchestra, inventive lighting, and actors — follows a hapless French voyageur, as he attempts to navigate the land and woo his more savvy Indigenous love interest. Dramatizing the foundation of the Métis people in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, this bilingual work is accessible to French and English students equally through the use of subtitles.
