The fleet of mighty-fine meals being served off wheels continues to grow in Winnipeg, with enticing new savoury (and sweet) sidewalk offerings.
We've been hard at it this year, sampling our way through most of the trucks (and carts) and have come up with this comprehensive list (but, if you do see we've missed one -- as this roster seems to grow weekly -- please let us know in the comment section so we can add it).
Just like 2013 and 2014, Peg City Grub will retweet daily locations of all city food trucks that Tweet their location and tag @PegCityGrub. If you see a food truck, let PCG know via Twitter for a retweet.
As well, we've included the Twitter and Facebook pages of all the trucks that have them, so you can use those to find them on the streets of The Peg.
Here's an alphabetical guide to the Winnipeg's food trucks, featuring brief descriptions of all the trucks we've hit up so far this summer.
A Little Pizza Heaven
Their red truck offers up the same tasty, low-frills, beer friendly 'za that is served to the young, hip set in their two storefront locations on Osborne and Portage Ave (inside the Good Will).

Better than Baba's
Authentic Ukrainian is the name of the game at Baba's with several kinds of perogies (with multiple toppings), cabbage rolls and borscht, all served out of a purple truck. Baba's also gets bonus points for a comprehensive website that lists where they will be each day.

The Churro Stop
It's about time someone brought churros to the streets of Winnipeg, because really, who doesn't like fried pastries that are in long tube form? We haven't yet had a chance to try these, but we hear the version filled with dulce de leche is the bomb (they also do a Bavarian Creme stuffed one, along with plain).
Twitter: @TheChurroStop
Cornell Creme (ice cream bike)
Ridiculously creamy, super delicious ice cream all locally crafted by Lisa Dyck, whose own cows supply the milk. The ingredients are always natural, while the flavours are often daring, like an incredibly good honey mustard ice cream they made last year.

Extreme Fries
Typically found parked outside 387 Broadway, this black and yellow truck does a lot more than just fries.

Falafel Queen
Generally Monday to Friday on Broadway between Hargrave and Carlton Streets. But, they have neither a Twitter or Facebook page, so tracking them down might be more serendipitous than calculated.
Fired Up
Generally found on Broadway, or at The Forks' newly minted #foodtruckalley, Fired Up makes really, really good pizza to order in their wood fire (located inside the truck!) often utilizing locally-sourced ingredients.

Goldie’s
They don't do much tweeting as to their location, but they are usually found parked beside the Cube Stage in Old Market Square blaring 80s-90s rock and serving up fries.
Twitter: @GoldiesFries
Greek Town
The only disadvantage of a Greek food truck is that after your meal you can't start shooting ouzo and breaking plates while someone rocks out a bouzouki. Yet, on that note, these fine people also cater so you could well just order in and set that up for yourself at home. Their nifty Mediterranean blue food truck is adorned with white pillars while inside only Manitoban farmed ingredients are used to make staples like gyros (pronounced yer-ros, not Gy-rows for you Seinfeld fans), souvlaki, baklava and lemon soup. They even grill over an open charcoal pit for added flavour points.

Habanero Sombrero
Authentic tacos like you'd get down south featuring slow braised meats on six inch corn tortillas topped with queso fresco and pico de gallo. We're big fans of their carnitas tacos, while the homemade salsas are also good times.

Hot Rod’s

Iggy’s Family Doener (Steinbach and Winnipeg)
Since 2014 Iggy (Igor Georgijevic) and his wife Candice have been serving up German-style döner like you’d get after the bar in Deutschland, with slow roast chicken cut from a spit and a tangy cabbage salad. They even make their own thin bread pockets.
We love it.

Island Fusion
Authentic Trini food (with some other Caribbean numbers like Jamaican patties) that will take your tastebuds to the tropics. They also tend to rock out fun dancehall jams when their truck rolls up which adds extensively to the island atmosphere this fun food truck creates.

204-668-1665
Pimp My Rice
Fun Filipino food from the food truck with possibly the best name ever. Need we say more? Okay, how about be sure to try the adobo wings, and that Pimp My Rice took the title of "best bang for your buck" at ManyFest's Food Truck Wars last year. Also the owners Helene and Roddy are awesome.

(please note: because some bad person stole their truck's generator, Pimp My Rice has not yet hit the streets in 2015, but Helene assures me they will be out there soon).
Pop Cart
Gourmet popsicles are going to be the new thing -- we swear it. These innovative frozen pops come in a huge variety of flavours utilizing fresh herbs and hand squeezed juices. They also do more indulgent numbers too, like ice cream sandwiches. The owners, Angela & Alana, have already established a devout following of fans via pop-up services at some recent markets. Their push-powered carts should be hitting the streets shortly, and will regularly be wheeled around The Forks and at other hip happenings.

The Red Ember
Last year The Red Ember was voted as the "People's Choice" champion during Food Truck Wars at Many Fest for their incredibly good pizzas. Their crust -- made from organic wheat milled in Elie, MB -- is spectacular, while they also use only locally-preserved heirloom tomatoes, ethically raised meat and herbs and vegetables that they grow. It's also Winnipeg's biggest food truck.

Sherbrook St. Delicatessen

Tot Wheels
I can't lie, I'm not a big fan of cars, but I am a huge fan of car-themed tater tots (and it's not just because Darryl and I are both veterans of reality t.v. cooking shows). There is no way Napoleon Dynamite could have hoarded these tots in his pockets; they are so delicious that you have to eat them right away, while they are sauced and topped heavily with delicious ingredients like crispy frog's legs and green beans (Le Renault), so putting them in your pocket would just be too messy.
