Every Fall since 2001, The Keg restaurants across Canada and The U.S. create a special menu to satisfy customers and help the community.

The Fall Features Menu celebrates the harvest season while raising money for the Keg Spirit Foundation, a charity funding children's organizations north and south of the border.

Since its inception, the foundation has raised $7.8 million. And its all because of hungry diners jonesing for The Keg's menu of steak and seafood and other North American classics.

The Keg's fall feature menu runs September 29 to November 23, 2014. Here's a link to the Fall Features Menu.

The menu features: blackened sirloin with a baked potato, herbed butter, grilled peppers and steamed green beans; pistachio-crusted salmon with garlic mashed potatoes, bacon sautéed brussel sprouts and maple butter; and chicken supreme, pan-seared and roasted chicken with garlic mashed potatoes, broccolini and demi glace.

Here's how it works: Two dollars from every entrée sold from the Fall Features menu will be donated to local charities. One dollar from each order of beef carpaccio or tuna tartar from the feature's appetizer menu will also be thrown into the pot. In addition, $25 will be donated for every case of feature wine sold.

In addition to menu sales from the Fall Features menu, The Keg also raises money for the foundation through company-branded products, other ongoing restaurant promotions, supplier donations and new store openings.

In Canada, the foundation supports Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada, Free the Children and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Money also goes to the company's Chairman Awards Program, a fund supporting staff-chosen charities.
