Enter Eat Winnipeg!, a July-long festival of food showcasing some of the city's top restaurants.
Here's the deal: $36 per person gets you a special three-course meal at any one of the participating eateries.
Fourteen Winnipeg restaurants are on the roster for this year's month-long dining event, which is in its second year.
Ciao! magazine, one of Winnipeg's notable food and restaurant publications, are the folks behind this food festival.
Eat Winnipeg! is all about getting locals and visitors to try new restaurants, says Ciao! publisher Laurie Hughes.
“This event is designed to put people in restaurants that give the flavour of this city, at a price point that enables visitors to try a number of the city’s best during their stay,” Hughes says.
Participating restaurants include: Amici, Hermanos, Bailey's, Brooklynn's Bistro, In Ferno's on Academy, The Melting Pot, Café Dario, The Round Table, Corrientes, Steve's Bistro, The Current, fusion grill, Sydney's and Terrace in the Park.
This year's eateries represent a range of cuisines from classic North American steakhouse to modern Greek diner, Portugese, Argentinean, Italian, South American and Manitoban eats.
The restaurants are also located in neighbourhoods across the city. The Exchange District, Downtown, Academy, Wolseley, the West End, The Forks and Tuxedo are all on this year's Eat Winnipeg! map.
