WATCH: Our favourite Winnipeg patios will save your summer! - Save your summer at Winnipeg's best patios like Gusto North at Hargrave Street Market

Save your summer at Winnipeg's best patios like Gusto North at Hargrave Street Market

WATCH: Our favourite Winnipeg patios will save your summer!

By: Only in the Peg // August 12, 2020

This week’s special Summer Saved video has our team deployed across the city to highlight some of our favourite patios for sitting and sipping in Winnipeg.

These are only a few of many great patios you can enjoy. See our patios page for a full list of places where you can enjoy the sunshine all summer long!

Cody’s pick:

Amsterdam Tea Room 211 Bannatyne Avenue

Winning the award for cutest socially distanced patio this summer is Amsterdam Tea Room. The cozy Exchange District patio is back in action with wooden booths and dividers perfect for privacy and physical distancing. New chef Aron Epp serves up a fresh and full new menu and the tea-infused cocktails are as delicious as ever.

Sarah’s pick:

Capital Grill 225 Broadway

Don’t forget to bring your shades to Capital Grill's sunny downtown patio. Chef Wayne Martin and his team serve up a fresh take on comfort food using only the best organic farmer’s market ingredients.

Alberto’s pick:

Gusto North Hargrave Street Market | 242 Hargrave Street

The Gusto team has been serving up some of the best wood fired pizza in Winnipeg for years – now bringing a meticulous menu to our favourite food hall, Hargrave Street Market. The new cityscape patio offers stunning, sunny views perfect for pairing with a pizza made from fresh local ingredients.

Abby’s pick:

Resto Gare Bistro and Train Bar 630 Des Meurons Street

Spend your summer in Resto Gare’s tranquil courtyard patio in the heart of Winnipeg’s French Quarter. Sip alongside their vintage train car (an equally pleasant seating spot for a rainy day) and savour French dishes while taking in the view filled with lush plants, a wooden terrace, water fountains and jazz performers every Thursday and Saturday.

Mike’s pick:

La Roca 155 Smith Street

Find yourself transported to a lively Mexican rooftop at La Roca, one of downtown’s best hidden gem patios. Offering endless seating under the sun and plenty of room for distancing, it’s a great spot for tasty tacos and margaritas.
