Nobody is grilling and bringing the heat as impressively as Maxim's owner/operator Alex Levyy is.

After rolling up in his white food truck, he sets up an L-shaped charcoal grill where the embers are fed from a continuous fire stack in the middle. Levyy does Georgian-style Shashlik (which is popular throughout Russia and Eastern Europe; he himself is originally from Kazakstan). These are skewered marinated meats like pork, beef, chicken and shrimp, along with side salads and other miscellaneous items.

You can hopefully find Maxim BBQ World at events later in the summer, as it doesn’t make regular appearances on the streets.
