Located at the foot of the historic Elm Park Bridge, the iconic Bridge Drive in(or 'BDI' as its known to any true Winnipegger) has developed a history as rich as the soft serve it's known for serving. For over 60 years, they have served Winnipeg the creamiest soft serve, sundaes, sodas and shakes and have come up with some crazy ice cream concoctions along the way.
They offer eleven flavours of soft-serve ice cream, sundaes and exotic classics like the Goog, Sleeping Beauty, Cantaberry, Peach Velvet and much more. They also offer hand-made specialty waffle cones, including the Saltzberg, the Coconilla, and the So-Much-S’more. To satisfy their customer needs, they also offer vegan-friendly ice cream, and some of our classics like the Goog and Peach Velvet can be made in vegan-friendly format.
In August 2016 BDI launched their very own food truck. You can now get their famous soft serve, along with all that Goog goodness (along with their other crazy concoctions) in various spots throughout the city. And what's even sweeter -- aside from beating the lines at their home base at 766 Jubilee Avenue -- is that the truck tends to stay open until 4 p.m (unlike most food trucks which wrap up at 2 p.m.), so it makes it easy to turn that downtown afternoon coffee break into an ice cream break (which is way better than a caffeine boost).
