Ladies Night Out

Make time for some “R & R”.

Day 1
More than 30,000 plants make up magnificent garden displays of colour at Assiniboine Park’s Conservatory, English Garden and Leo Mol Sculpture Garden. Assiniboine Park’s Star Conservatory Restaurant is the “cherry on the top” with its eclectic presentation of innovative fare that will be sure to please all palates.

Spend the afternoon browsing for unique items in specialty boutiques along neighbourhood avenues, dig for bargains at big box stores, prowl shopping malls for the latest fashions and stop at the Nygard Fashion Park, a new concept in retailing that offers a “fit for every woman”.

Pineridge Hollow celebrates the prairies and believes in solid wood, nature’s herbs, real cream and fresh flowers. They are delighted to share wholesome and delicious food using products from local growers and producers and have beautiful, well-maintained gardens.

Day 2
Tour Manitoba’s Legislative Building and the impressive grounds with its formal gardens and fountains. When you depart the Legislative Building, walk down to the water taxi stand and take the Splash Dash or stroll the river walkway to The Forks, a place where you can savour the aromas of The Forks Market food emporium, shop til you drop and watch the buskers as they entertain.

Indulge in a visit to one of Winnipeg’s luxury hotel spas (The Fort Garry Hotel Spa and Conference Centre, Inn at The Forks, Clarion Hotel) for some pampering. A massage, manicure or spa treatment is a perfect way to enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

In the evening, let the chefs of Ichi-ban Japanese Steakhouse perform as they prepare dinner at your table or try one-of-a-kind dining spots such as Alycia’s traditional Ukrainian fare.

Top off the evening by attending a lavish musical production, performed under the domed-roof of Rainbow Stage. The stage is surrounded by bountiful floral gardens and some of the oldest elm trees in the city.
