La Brasserie Nonsuch Brewing is Manitoba’s only premium brewery focused on creating Belgian-style ales at its Exchange District taproom. Understanding the importance of partnerships to attract visitors, they’ve offered a wide variety of events and collaborations with tourism partners. Nonsuch has also created a menu focusing on local and seasonal ingredients, landing them second spot on Globe and Mail’s 2019 list of Best New Restaurants on the Prairies. 

Coal and Canary Candle Company - AWARD WINNER

Proudly handmade by a local team, Coal and Canary’s luxury candles are at the forefront of young Winnipeg entrepreneurship, representing the city in more than 250 retailers. Its flagship store at The Forks serves tourists and has expanded to acquire other local brands for wholesale. Candle collaboration with local artists and attractions present pieces of Winnipeg that visitors can take home with them. 

Feast Café Bistro 

Feast Café Bistro has established itself as a nationally recognized culinary experience connecting culture through food. Locals and visitors experience modern cuisine rooted in traditional First Nations dishes, which focus on sourcing and using local ingredients from Indigenous communities. It has elevated Winnipeg’s culinary scene and been featured by the Food Network, Chatelaine and Canadian Living, among others. Feast’s participation in major tourism festivals Folklorama and Manito Ahbee has further raised its exposure.
