John Blumberg is the longest and most challenging of Winnipeg’s municipal golf courses. It is located just a few minutes west of the city on the bank of the Assiniboine River in the municipality of Headingly. This site consists of two excellent golf courses designed by “Robbie” Robinson – the championship 18-hole Emerald course and the challenging 9-hole Gold course. The Emerald course offers a variety of challenges with a combination of length, large well protected greens and four strategically placed ponds. The Assiniboine River comes into play on the back nine making accuracy of tee and fairway shots a must. The Gold course is a favorite for golfers looking for a shorter game with lots of challenge. On this course water is a factor on five of the nine holes. Accuracy is a must in order to achieve a good score. After your game enjoy a beverage or meal in the fully serviced clubhouse restaurant or sports lounge. The four friendly CPGA Professionals on site can take care of all of your golf needs.
