A Winnipeg Morning!

I was on my way into the city by transit bus. The trip took about 30 minutes. It was 7:30am. Most people who walk in the bus have that look of urgency. They need to get to where they are going. Some people still look very tired. Some look very anxious. But this particular morning, there were smiles and 'good mornings' from everyone. People, from Winnipeg, getting into the bus seemed very comfortable with this everyday(workday) routine. And it showed!

I, being an out-of-towner, noticed this warmth that particular sunny morning. What a difference a smile can make! What a difference a 'Good Morning! How are you this fine morning!' can change and light the way for even an innocent by-stander like me. It really made my day! I look forward to riding the bus when I visit Winnipeg. The hope of yet another great morning keeps my smile fresh, ready to burst out to someone! Smiles connecting! That's the spirit Winnipeg! Woo-Hoo!
