I love Winnipeg's Assiniboine Park

Hello there. One of my favourite memories of Winnipeg is taking my kids to Assiniboine Park when they were little to go on the little locomotive that ran through and still runs through the middle of the Park near the Zoo. It was always such fun hearing the whistle blow and the steam huff as we steadily rolled through the beautiful trees of the park in the bright Winnipeg sunshine. Now recently, I have been able to reintroduce this summer tradition to my grandsons who are 4 and 6. They love coming into the city and taking a ride on the little red train. I hope we can keep passing on this tradition.
