Winnipeg Sunshine - Warm all year round

One of my fondest, of many fantastic, memories of Winnipeg was shortly after I moved here about six years ago.

We had just immigrated from England to "Winterpeg" arriving in March so had left behind blooming daffodils and warming temperatures to a scene of snow and ice with night time temperatures in the negatives. One sunny, blue sky day with the temperature hovering around zero I was visiting the Forks and after purchasing a large Latte from Espresso Junction wondered over to sit on a bench overlooking the frozen river dock. The heat from the sun was amazing. My coat was removed, then my sweatshirt and even my Toque as I sat and relaxed with one of the tastiest coffees I have ever enjoyed and I realized that, whatever temperature the thermometer showed, when the sun is shining in the 'Peg it is one of the greatest places in the world to be.
