It’s the 25th anniversary of the Winnipeg New Music Festival and we are throwing a party! Epic music is the flavour of the year. Gavin Bryars’ Sinking of the Titanic, Joan Towers’ Concerto for Orchestra plus headline guests David Lang, co-founder of New York’s Bang on a Can, and artist/musician/composer/explorer/icon Stephen O’Malley. All past composers-in-residence including Glenn Buhr (co-founder with Bramwell Tovey of the WNMF), Randolph Peters, Pat Carrabré and Vincent Ho will be represented with conductor Gary Kulesha. We will flip the Concert hall on its head with all seating on stage for mid-week concerts. Plus food, art, adventure, discovery, parties and much more than can be captured here!!
